A former Lecturer in Health and Social Care and after nearly a decade working in Children's Services, Lisa decided to swap humans for dogs by retraining as a dog groomer. She soon set up a grooming and home boarding business, swiftly followed by a cattery and raw food store.
Observing the behaviour and health issues facing many of the pets in her care, Lisa became fascinated by how nutrition affected them, undertaking an MSc in Human Nutrition.
Lisa has a regular feature in Edition Dog and Cat Magazine, On the Couch Magazine and has been featured in the Gundog Journal. She is the in-house Researcher and Writer for My Pet Nutritionist and has most recently joined the team at the Centre of Nutritional Psychology in the US, as a Science Writer.
Lisa’s areas of special interest are stress & anxiety, immunity, the gut-mind connection, neurotransmitters, and their nutrient interactions.
Lisa is the Founder of Neurish, where psychology meets nutrition for both humans and pets.
