Are you interested in becoming a dog trainer but lack the knowledge and experience? Do you want to find out more about dog training and how they learn?

Meet Bailey the Labrador – Essex Fire and Rescue Service’s newest search dog.

As part of the NEW iPET Network Level 2 Award in Canine Care, Health and Behaviour qualification, you can learn about canine behaviour and communication with an introduction to dog training. This is in addition to other units introducing principles of essential care needs of the dog, nutrition and exercise, health care and anatomy.

The qualification is designed for people with no prior canine knowledge or skills and could be the perfect opportunity to gain the foundation you need to go on to study canine behaviour and training.
