Acton Hall on apprenticeships

Acton Hall on apprenticeships

27th, Jul 2022 General News

The apprentice will be involved with feeding, grooming, cleaning equipment, handling, preparing, exercising the horses and carrying out routine yard duties. The Senior Equine Groom will provide for and coordinate the day-to-day care of the horses and have all the necessary skills to implement effective systems relating to the running of the yard.

We recently caught up with Gina Machin owner of Acton Hall Equestrian Centre, one of the top livery yards in Staffordshire, here is what she had to say:

"Equine apprenticeships provide an excellent pathway to a career in the Equine industry. Whilst providing on the job training, they also give a great insight into working life. They are beneficial to Employers who often look for experience as well as qualifications and provide the apprentice with a good basis of both to make informed choices in the career in which they wish to pursue.”
