Due to our rapid expansion, we have exciting opportunities for Independent End Point Assessor's across the UK working with the team at iPET Network. iPET Network is an Ofqual Regulated Awarding Organisation and is now on the Register of End Point Assessment Organisations. iPET Network specialise in qualifications in the Animal Care and Veterinary Science sector.

The Independent End-point Assessor is responsible for end-point assessment activities under the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by iPET Network and in line with the relevant standard. The role of our Independent End-Point Assessors is to assess apprentice competence against an industry specific standard knowledge, skills and behaviours.

 

Responsibilities - Successful Independent End-Point Assessors (IEPA'S) will:-

-- Assess apprentices' competence against the Apprenticeship Standard in line with the assessment methods stated in the end point assessment plan relevant to the standard

-- Grade assessments in accordance with the end point assessment plan to ensure the apprentice has demonstrated the knowledge skills and behaviours and ensure a robust, valid, reliable and fair assessment process is delivered.

-- Ensure that prior to undertaking any activity there are no conflicts of interest in accordance with iPET Network policy

-- Provide feedback on end-point assessments to support standardisation of the end point assessment process

-- Record and submit detailed and concise reports with assessment feedback explaining assessment decisions in line with the grading criteria

-- Record end-point assessment decisions using an online portal system

-- Complete and submit all relevant evidence and documentation within the timescales required

-- Safeguard the apprenticeship standard by attending and participating in standardisation activities to ensure a consistent approach to end-point assessment

-- Ensure that all activities are conducted in line with iPET Network’s policies and procedures and all current legislation in activities relating to their role

-- Follow the protocols set out in iPET Network's specifications, assessment materials and quality assurance strategy, relating to the end point assessments

-- Maintain service-level agreements with regards to responding to EPA planning, operational activities, reports and submissions of assessment outcomes

-- Report all risks and issues encountered during the end-point assessment to the quality team, including any suspected malpractice/maladministration

-- Support the quality team, if necessary, with any appeals from apprentices, regarding assessment decisions

 

You will have up-to-date, relevant experience of working in the occupational area of the apprenticeship standard, including practical and current knowledge of working practices which reflect the whole standards content.

 

Independent End Point Assessors must meet the following requirements to confirm eligibility to carry out the role:-

-- Be Occupationally Competent in the Core and Option being assessed

-- Demonstrated competency as an assessor

-- Relevant work experience in the Core and in the Option being assessed

-- A minimum of 3 years working experience in the Animal Care and Welfare sector

-- A level 3 qualification in Animal Care or Animal Science and Technology or an equivalent higher qualification in animal care or science
