KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS - WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? - WEEK 3 : BEHAVIOURS //

19th, Jul 2023 General News

Apprentices will develop transferable skills in the form of behaviours inline with the apprenticeship standard.

Employers value behaviours that positively impact the team and support the business success.
These behaviours will include: –
• Punctuality
• Reliability
• The ability to demonstrate effective and professional communication with stakeholders
• The ability to work independently
• The ability to risk assess and maintain a high level of safety and welfare

Behaviours are instrumental to the development and achievement of the End Point Assessment.

Building Those Behaviours:-
The embedded apprenticeship behaviours should be built inline with apprenticeship standard, the role and workplace procedures.

What should you do as a Training Provider?
• Support the employer to embed the behaviours inline with the curriculum delivery plan
• Unpick the behaviours and use open questions and reflection techniques to embed the transferable skills
• Support the development of each behaviour statement, this could be embedded in a task

What should you do as an Employer?
• Deliver the behaviours in line with the curriculum delivery plan
• Portray a positive role model to your apprentice.
• Gain employer feedback
